Product Introduction
The Seam Fatigue Tester is a 2-position desktop machine used to evaluate the tear resistance or the elongation of seam pinholes of textile or leather seat materials. Each testing position includes a pair of corresponding fixtures for fixing the sample, and a height gauge for setting the distance between each fixture clamp at 140mm.
The sample is placed on the clamping device, and the positions of the left and right clamping devices are adjusted to ensure that the test spacing complies with the standard requirements. The number of test cycles is set, and the test begins. At this time, the reducer drives the middle clamping device to perform reciprocating motion. The left and right clamping devices are connected to a 3kg load, and during the reciprocating motion of the middle clamping device, the left and right samples respectively undergo a loading and unloading process within one cycle. The proximity switch connected to the counter records the movement cycle of the clamping device, and the test stops when the set number of test cycles is reached. The change at the seam of the seam area is measured to characterize the material's seam fatigue resistance.
Scope of Application
This method is used to evaluate the fatigue resistance strength of the seams on the surface materials of automotive seats. The surface materials of automotive seats (such as leather, synthetic leather, fabric, etc.) are mostly composed of stitched and bonded structures. The stitching strength of the material seams and the fatigue resistance strength of the seam openings directly affect the service life of the seats. By testing the strength and lifespan of the material seams, it is possible to effectively predict the lifespan of the seats and provide improvement directions for enhancing their lifespan.
